Fantastic train route planner and train schedule for Japan

While looking for a train route planner in Japan the other day I found an awesome website which has a perfect service in English which shows you several routes from your departure to your destination stations and includes time taken, fares, changes and the easiest or fastest routes.

Put in your details and press go and instantly a full page of info comes up – and there’s a mobile version available as well on the three main networks.

I just found another service which has a couple more bells and whistles – called hyperdia. although there isnt a mobile site like jorudan, the classic version is lightweight and loads quickly on your cell.
